Enlist In War | The Sims 4

Enlist In War mod adds a dramatic new dimension to your Sims' lives, allowing them to enlist in the military and fight in a war. Inspired by the Decades Challenge, it provides a more immersive way to send Sims to war without resorting to cheats.  But even beyond the challenge, it opens doors for compelling storytelling and roleplaying.

How to Embark on a Military Journey:

• Select an active Sim between the ages of Teen and Adult.
• Click on "Actions..." and choose the new option "Register for the Draft."
• A 24-hour moodlet with a timer appears, signifying the approaching departure. You can choose to leave immediately during this period or wait for the countdown to end.
• Once deployed, your Sim will be off-lot for a few days. The game will then determine their fate.

The Price of War:

• Survival Lottery: The default setting presents a 50/50 chance of your Sim surviving the war.
• Veteran's Mark: If they make it back alive, they'll earn the "Veteran" trait. This grants a weekly pension of $600, but may also come with lingering negative moodlets.
• Brush with Death: Sims who fall in battle will be found unconscious near their home. With a bit of luck, you can save them with the Grim Reaper's help or by using Spellcaster familiars. Even if revived this way, they'll still receive the "Veteran" trait.

Fine-Tuning the Experience (Optional):

• Settings File: The mod creates a settings file after its first use. This allows you to customize certain aspects of the war experience.
• Adjusting Parameters: Using a text editor, you can modify values in the "[Kuttoe] EnlistInWar_Settings.cfg" file to change the number of days spent at war (default 3 days, adjustable between 1 and 14 days) and the odds of your Sim's survival (default 50/50 chance; increase the number for higher survival rates, decrease for lower).
