Slots Anywhere - Counters | The Sims 4

This mod by bessy tackles a common annoyance for Sims 4 builders: the limitations of placing certain appliances and sinks on counters. It offers several improvements to enhance your building experience.

Features:

Decor Slots:

• Increased Slots: Adds dozens of decorative slots on top of every counter and their components, adhering to the 180-slot limit per counter shape.
• Seamless Slot Map: Ensures seamless slot placement for any kitchen configuration by adding overlapping slots at the joints. Overlapping slots are added to the right and back ends to avoid duplicates, leaving free space on the left for adjacent counters. For two-line islands, back overlapping slots are available on both counters; be mindful to avoid duplication.
• Adjusted for Various Shapes: Slot maps are tailored for rounded and cut corner shapes, including Harbinger, Cool Kitchen, Spa Day, Dream Home Decorator (end pieces), and Perfect Patio (outer corner pieces).
• Lower Shelf Slots: Adds decor slots to lower shelves where space permits, including shapes from Snowy Escape, Cottage Living (outer corner and right end pieces), and Vault (left end pieces).
• Mountain Romance Counter: Features full slot coverage on top and a checkerboard slot map for both lower shelves.

Appliance Slots:

• Position Adjustments: Adjusts appliance slot positions on end pieces to ensure microwaves do not appear to be falling.
• Dual Slots: Almost every counter piece now has two appliance slots—one for microwaves/on-counter ovens/popcorn makers and another for coffee/tea/ice-cream/cappuccino makers/grinders, referred to as microwave slots and coffeemaker slots.
• Rotatable Slots: All appliance slots are now rotatable, similar to decor slots.
• Orientation Adjustments: Default orientation is adjusted where necessary, but items remain manually rotatable.
• Corner Variants: Outer corner pieces offer three appliance placement variants—straight in both directions and diagonal, each with doubled slots.
• Tile Pieces: Additional slots allow placing two appliances close together, such as a coffee maker and tea maker, ensuring both are accessible and usable. Microwave slots are also available.
• Exclusions: Harbinger near-wall end pieces lack appliance slots due to unavoidable clipping; however, freestanding ends include slots (see screenshots for details).
• Removed Side/Rear Slots: Appliance slots facing the sides or rear are removed or adjusted to enhance usability and prevent bugs related to Sims using only the rear part of counters.
• Special Adjustments: Unique slot positions are tailored for rounded and cut corner counter pieces, with additional diagonal slots for flexibility and realism.

Sink Slots:

• Rotation Locked: Sink slot rotation is locked for consistency.
• Position Adjustments: Sink slot positions are adjusted on end pieces to better accommodate various sink models. Wide models may still clip, but scaling down with Tmexi's TOOL mod can improve the look without affecting functionality.
• Inner Corner Slots: Inner corner pieces now include a fully functional sink slot. Tested extensively to avoid floating sinks, though wide sinks may clip on near-wall counters. Freestanding counters generally look good (use TOOL mod for adjustments if needed).
• On-counter Stoves: These use the same slots as sinks, offering flexible placement. However, they may look odd on end pieces and outer corners but fit well on inner corner counters.
• Additional Slots: Aughts counter (Perfect Patio Stuff) outer corner includes a diagonal sink slot; Joose counter (Spa Day) end pieces also have diagonal sink slots, suitable primarily for the Ovum sink.

Exclusions: End or outer corner pieces with glass or open parts lack sink slots due to visible and unattractive clipping.
